Tuite Racing

JoeJoe Tuite entered the training ranks in 2010 after eight years as assistant trainer to top Flat handler Mick Channon, having previously worked in a similar capacity for Charles Egerton. He trains from a purpose built yard in Lambourn, near to Hungerford.

During his time at West Ilsley, Joe was instrumental in running the 160-horse operation that annually sent out 100+ winners and he helped oversee the preparations of top-class Channon Group winners Youmzain, Zafeen, Music Show, Flashy Wings, Lahaleeb and Mail The Desert, to name just a few.

From training 6 winners in season one (2011) Joe more than doubled this tally the next year, training 13 winners in his second season. The success of the yard continued with 2014 being his most successful year to date, training a total of 20 winners – including a double at Windsor in May 2014 with Presburg and Flashy Queen!

From an Irish dairy farming family, Joe came to England in 1984 and quickly gained experience riding under rules as a conditional jockey to Stan Mellor and Jenny Pitman. His talents as a rider and all-round complete horseman also extend to every aspect of pre-training, breaking and educating young horses.

Married and a father of one, Joe’s training expertise puts the emphasis on individual attention to his inmates and owners can expect to have a fun and friendly experience as racehorse owners at Felstead Court Stables. His open-door policy means his clients are encouraged to visit regularly at their leisure and importantly, feel part of a sociable and successful operation.

Large and small syndicates are available to suit every budget and clients are offered competitive and affordable training rates. Joseph uses the services of proven bloodstock agent Steve Hillen to help source horses to fulfil owners’ goals and hopefully, Derby-winning dreams(!).
